Diagnostic test waiting times

Diagnostic test waiting times and activity data

The diagnostic waiting times data provides information about the NHS waiting list for 15 specific diagnostic tests. The key performance measure for diagnostic test waiting times is that patients should undergo their test within 6 weeks of being referred.
The dashboards show the number of patients in each month on the waiting list for each of the 15 tests and how long they have waited. They also flag the number and proportion of patients waiting more than 6 and 13 weeks for a test and how many diagnostic tests were carried out during the month. The data includes both planned, i.e. waiting list tests and unscheduled tests (those performed urgently for non-elective patients).
